About counselling

Counselling is different for every individual and that is why an Integrative approach is used by Jim Bond. Sessions last 50 minutes for individuals (75 minutes for couples and families) and can include discussion, play or sessions working with art materials. All discussion that takes place are confidential except where someone is at risk when we will discuss who we can talk to outside the counselling session to maintain safety.

Counselling does not necessarily offer any solution to problems but offers an opportunity to explore our feelings and to understand what is making us act in particular ways or how we are managing relationships with others. Sometimes the journey through Counselling can also be very painful but Jim will always ensure that every step is taken to make the client feel safe.
